A Million Dreams

Picture-perfect on their beautiful wedding day, newlyweds Kira and Jaren answer our questions about their unique and memorable celebration.

What were your priorities for your wedding day?
We wanted the day to feel romantic and fun—something that truly reflected us as a couple. It was really important to us that our guests enjoyed themselves, got to know us better through the details of the day and walked away with great memories. We were also intentional about staying present and soaking in every moment, since so many people had told us how quickly the day would fly by—and they were right!

What unique details made your day special?
We wrote and shared our own vows, which felt incredibly personal. Every couple is different, so getting to express our love in our own words made that part of the day feel especially meaningful. We also made sure our ceremony was filled with live music—each song chosen because it meant something to us as a couple. It created such an emotional and meaningful atmosphere that set the tone for the entire day.

What was the theme or style for your day and how was it achieved?
We’d describe our style as soft romantic with a touch of rustic elegance. The venue was a charming little barn, and we kept things simple and beautiful with white and green florals, gold accents, and lots of candles to create a warm, cozy glow. The overall vibe was relaxed but refined—exactly what we were going for.

What were your favourite parts of the day?
Our first look was incredibly intimate—there was so much anticipation leading up to it, and when it finally happened, it felt like time paused for a moment. Another highlight was walking down the aisle to a violin cover of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman—a song and movie that we both love. Having that moment come to life was unforgettable.

Anything else you’d like our audience to know?
Looking back, I wish I hadn’t stressed so much about the little things—the forgotten decor, the missing pens, all the tiny last-minute details. What we remember most is the joy, the laughter and being surrounded by the people we love. That’s what truly lasts.
