Like a lot of couples, Emilie and Jon saw their plans for a 2020 wedding unravel. “We had to postpone our wedding three times due to the pandemic,” the bride notes. Their next date, in 2021, fell apart and the one after that didn’t fit either. That last time was because another joyful life event transpired. “We got pregnant,” Emilie reports happily, so all the delay “was a blessing in disguise because our daughter was able to join us and be a part of such a perfect day.”
Their darling wee girl, Ava, was 14 months at the time of their June celebration and her mom says, “She’s the best thing to come out of the pandemic.” Naturally enough, she adds, the theme for the wedding was love. “What we discussed with our vendors, particularly our videographers and photographers, was we just wanted everyone to feel all the love in the room. Love for each other, our daughter, our family and friends.”
In Emilie’s words, “We are so thankful to have been able to finally celebrate our love, after 12 years! and we couldn’t be happier.” With Ava present and experiencing all that love, it was even better than they ever expected. “It was just the most incredible day.”
